Here's How I'm Looking at $ETH Ethereum is still slowly recovering after the heavy sell-off we saw in June. Price is now trading around $1,790, which is a decent recovery from the low near $1,500, but I don't think this looks like the start of a major rally just yet. To me, it still feels like the market is rebuilding step by step instead of rushing higher. When I zoom out, the chart tells a simple story. ETH spent the first half of the year dropping from around $2,400 before finally finding support near $1,500 after a sharp capitulation move. Since then, price has been moving sideways while gradually making its way back up. Even with this recovery, we're still sitting well below the highs from earlier this year, so I think there's still a lot of work to do before anyone can call this a full trend reversal. The area I'm paying the most attention to is between $1,760 and $1,877. I think this is where the market decides its next move. Support is sitting around $1,760, while resistance is around $1,830 to $1,877. As long as ETH stays inside this range, I wouldn't be surprised to keep seeing choppy price action and plenty of fake breakouts. If buyers manage to push price above $1,877 and actually hold it there, that's probably the strongest bullish setup on the chart right now. There's a good chance short positions above that level could get squeezed, which could make the move happen much faster than what we've been seeing recently. But I would only trust that breakout if price stays above it. A quick rejection back into the range would make me much more cautious. Another setup I'm watching is a move back toward the support area between $1,760 and $1,700. If buyers step in there again, it would tell me that the recovery is still healthy. The level I don't want to see break is $1,700. If that gives way, I think the whole picture changes because long liquidations could start pushing price down much faster. The bearish setup is pretty straightforward. If both $1,760 and $1,700 fail, sellers could quickly take control. That would probably be the fastest move out of all the scenarios because liquidation pressure could add even more momentum to the downside. On the other hand, if price breaks down but quickly climbs back above those levels, I would consider that bearish idea invalid. I also think it's worth paying attention to what's happening outside the chart. There are still positive stories around Ethereum, like stronger security improvements and continued institutional interest. At the same time, recent ETF outflows and upcoming macro events are making traders more cautious. That mix is one reason I think the market has stayed stuck in a range instead of picking a clear direction.
