Story Protocol ($IP) releases 2025 technology roadmap, promoting Layer 1 and IP ecosystem upgrade

On February 21st, the latest news was that Story Protocol ($IP) announced its 2025 technology roadmap at X, demonstrating its commitment to continuous optimization of Layer 1 (L1) performance, reliability, and decentralization, while further developing its unique intellectual property (IP) focused product and application ecosystem. According to the roadmap, $IP will achieve mainnet launch in Quarter 1 in 2025, and then launch the IP Portal (public beta version) as Story's homepage in the second quarter, allowing users to seamlessly register and browse IP registered across applications. At the same time, Story Attestation Service (public beta version) will be launched, which is a decentralized oracle network used for on-chain IP verification signals, including creator identity, infringement detection, etc. In addition, Story will also provide a decentralized oracle network service for IP verification and protection.

 

In the third quarter of 2025, $IP plans to implement a comprehensive network upgrade involving three key dimensions: performance improvement, including faster transactions, higher throughput, more verification nodes, and faster node recovery; product optimization, launching IPKit front-end SDK, large file storage, and other functions; governance improvement, enhancing network stability through decentralized, transparent, and smooth upgrade mechanisms. The project team emphasized that its engineering team is researching cutting-edge topics such as next-generation consensus, on-chain storage expansion, AI execution layer, and confidential IP transactions, and plans to promote some research through cooperation with Stanford FDC Lab.
