[Important] Bitget Announcement on MSTU Stock Perps Contract Split/Reverse Split Adjustment

2026-08-20 14:59019
Dear Bitget Users:

The underlying asset MSTU will undergo a stock split / reverse split in the near future. Bitget will perform automated processing on the corresponding RWA stock perps. Details are as follows:

1. Stock Split / Reverse Split Details

Stock Perps
Stock Ticker
Effective Date (ET)
Corporate Action Type

Adjustment Ratio
MSTUUSDT
MSTU
2026-08-24
Reverse Split (1-for-10)
Position Size × 1/10, Average Entry Price ÷ (1/10)

2. Special Trading Halt Arrangement

The above contracts will enter a "Special Trading Halt" from Aug 24, 2026, 14:00 - 16:30 (UTC+8). Trading is expected to resume at 16:30 (UTC+8), subject to the actual system execution time.

Resumption Notes: Depending on the update timing of the index price, the actual resumption time may fall between 16:30 and 22:00.

During the halt:
  • New open / close orders for the above contracts will not be accepted
  • Unfilled orders will be automatically canceled, and margin will be returned to available balance
  • Planned orders / stop-loss take-profit / advanced orders will be automatically canceled and will NOT be restored automatically — they need to be manually re-set after the halt ends
  • Funding rate settlement will be suspended — no accumulation during the halt, and no retroactive collection/distribution after resumption
  • Price adjustments due to the corporate action will NOT trigger liquidation; however, under cross-margin mode, overall account risk may still be affected by other positions
3. How Will Your Positions Be Handled?

The system will automatically complete the following operations during the halt — no manual action is required from you:
  • A value snapshot will be taken using the last mark price × position size before the halt. The position value will remain unchanged during the halt.
  • Position size and average entry price will be automatically adjusted according to the ratio above. Your total cost, realized P&L, and unrealized P&L will remain the same before and after the adjustment.
  • Once the mark price is confirmed to have been updated following the corporate action, the system will automatically lift the special trading halt and the contract will resume normal trading.
Note: If your account is in a risky state or other reasons prevent the system from converting your position quantity, the system will cash-settle the position at the last mark price before the halt and return the margin to your account, without converting it into a new position.

4. Trading Bots (Grid, etc.)
  • Approximately 5 minutes before the halt begins, the bot trading entry for the relevant contracts will be automatically removed. Your running bots will be automatically closed, and the positions will be cash-settled at the mark price at the time of closure, with assets returned to your account.
  • The bot feature will be re-listed within 10 minutes after the halt ends and trading resumes. Please note that your original bots will NOT be automatically restored — you will need to manually recreate them to continue bot trading.
  • No new bot trading can be created for the relevant contracts during the halt.
Recommendation: Bot positions will be automatically cash-settled at the mark price when the bot is removed, which may differ from your expectations. We recommend manually closing your trading bots for the relevant contracts one day before the halt to choose your own settlement timing.

5. Copy Trading

Not affected. Contract positions involved in copy trading do not require manual handling. The copy trading relationship will be automatically maintained after the stock split/reverse split is completed.

6. Margin
  • Isolated Margin Mode: The isolated margin amount remains the same before and after the adjustment.
  • Cross Margin Mode: Under normal circumstances, the adjustment will not affect other positions in the account.
7. Example

Suppose you hold a long position in the MSTUUSDT contract, and the reverse split ratio is 1-for-10 (i.e., 10 shares are merged into 1 share). Your position before and after the halt will change as follows:

Project
Before the Halt
After the Halt
Description
Mark Price
100
1,000
Old Mark Price × 10
Position Size
100 Contracts
10 Contracts
Old Quantity × 1/10
Average Entry Price
90
900
Old Avg Price × 10
Position Value
100 × 100 = 10,000
1,000 × 10 = 10,000
Remains Unchanged
Unrealized P&L
(100-90) × 100 = 1,000
(1000-900) × 10 = 1,000
Remains Unchanged
As you can see, after the reverse split, your position size is reduced to 1/10, and the unit price becomes 10 times the original. However, your position value and unrealized P&L remain completely unchanged. Your actual equity is not affected, and no action is required from you throughout the entire process.
